Reflecting on Professional Goals
My professional goals promote human flourishing as well as personal character development. My work as an instructional designer is to create solutions to issues/needs in the workplace, and by doing so, my soft skills such as communication and time management are shown through meticulous planning and constant communication with all stakeholders. Though I am starting my journey as an instructional designer, I adhere to my professional skills and ethics to create the most efficient instructional solutions possible. Students need guidance to flourish as scholars, and I aid my scholars through consistent and immediate feedback as well as holding myself accountable when errors are made.
Self awareness and growth are life goals of mine, as I believe in self-improvement and accountability in all aspects of my life. As an educator, I strive to model such qualities to my students to promote self-sufficiency and advocacy in my classroom. My students are a reflection of who I am as an educator, and I push myself and them to do better every day. Setting and maintaining high expectations for my students allows them to flourish into the scholars of tomorrow. As an instructional designer, the goal is to always improve for the sake of all stakeholders. In creating my lessons, I display honesty and integrity from citing sources correctly to takign accountability when the lesson does not go as planned.
